The outgoing DNC chair, Jaime Harrison, stated that the committee will be poised to compete in future elections and challenge Trump’s policies.

The two party leaders from America’s northern states in the middle of the country are urging the organization to operate throughout the year and implement a strategy that targets all fifty states.

The Wisconsin state chair gained a slight advantage in his candidacy early this week after the Association of State Democratic Chairs, which focuses on state party needs, chose not to support any contender.
The sudden decision has been seen by some as a slight to his close competitor, Martin, who has led the organization for many years.
According to Politico, a joint endorsement of both men, Martin and Winkler, was also unsuccessful.
“It’s challenging for us to unite behind a candidate because all of the candidates claim they will prioritize state parties and grant them prominence,” said Jane Kleeb, chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party.
‘This next three weeks will clearly bring increasing focus to this race,’ comments Donna Brazile, a former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee.
‘Nothing can stop me from watching it on Saturday. Whether I decide on popcorn or drink something stronger, I’m optimistic about the future of the Democratic Party. Although it’s currently facing some challenges, it still has a long way to go.’
The DNC consists of a combination of state party leaders and committee members, affiliates of the Democratic Party, union leaders, and at-large members designated by the current chairperson.
The selection process for the newest Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair will officially begin on Saturday, when all eight candidates will meet virtually in the first of four party-run forums.
