Honda designed the product with distinctive steampunk and dystopian design elements, and let’s be honest, it also makes for a visually appealing image on social media platforms.
The Honda SCR-1000 marked a significant milestone, creating a new segment within the motorcycle industry. Since its introduction, numerous other manufacturers have launched their takes on what an “adventure scooter” embodies.
While many have tried to copy the X-ADV, it remains unmatched to this day. The Honda X-ADV continues to enjoy a loyal following, especially in Europe, where high-powered maxi-scooters are extremely popular. For 2025, Honda is giving the X-ADV a styling makeover, one that emphasizes a more modern and sophisticated appearance.
Nowhere is this more evident than with the 2025 X-ADV Special Edition, a limited production run of just 30 models that will be available exclusively to consumers in the UK.
What sets this X-ADV apart from the rest is its uniquely striking appearance. The scooter boasts a bright, eye-catching Matte Gold Finch Yellow paint job that perfectly encapsulates a steampunk dystopian aesthetic, but it’s hard not to see the similarity of this scooter to an angry Pikachu left to fend for itself in a post-apocalyptic world.
Honda presents the X-ADV in an urban context, shifting away from the adventurous backdrop used previously. Considering the hint of an impending apocalypse seems increasingly plausible, this reimagined aesthetic feels rather suitable.
As a result, it’s probably destined to outlast any apocalypse.
Consumer’s who opt for this upgraded model can take advantage of a range of additional features that are both practical and useful whether navigating through harsh conditions or simply making a daily commute. On this special edition, you’ll find fog lights at the front, heated hand grips, leg deflectors, and a spacious nine-litre console compartment that can be used to store supplies, emergency rations, or personal belongings.
This vehicle has a slightly reduced performance level, boasting 58 horsepower at its disposal (in contrast to the CB750’s 90 horsepower). It transmits power to the rear wheel via a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) system. Additionally, there are four riding modes available, which can transform the bike’s personality from a calm demeanor to an aggressive attitude with just the push of a button.
The UK price for this item is £12,449, approximately $15,900 in US dollars.
The text refers to a vehicle that has more powerful acceleration, a manual gear system, and extensive personalisation possibilities for carrying bags and add-ons. However, that’s my personal preference, and I’ve traditionally identified as a fan of motorcycles rather than scooters.
