Ukraine claims to have destroyed Russian headquarters in Zaporizhzhia region

Ukraine’s authorities have declared the demolition of a command centre in Zaporizhzhia, providing footage at the scene via social media.

Ukrainian intelligence services stated that the operation was conducted jointly with one of its military units, according to a recent announcement.

In the recent period, Russian military forces have re-established control over territories in eastern Ukraine. Nonetheless, their efforts to retake areas in Ukraine’s Kursk district under Ukrainian control have been unsuccessful.

Despite these gains, Kyiv has managed to repel Russian attacks and has effectively launched counterattacks using drones and missiles supplied by the West.

The location of the headquarters was pinpointed through aerial reconnaissance by the HUR’s Active Operations Department in cooperation with the Tavria Group of Forces. A precise missile attack was then conducted on the target, according to a statement released by HUR on Facebook on Monday.

The operation led to significant consequences, including the complete destruction of headquarters facilities, resulting in the loss of six Russian personnel and leaving three others severely injured.
